The City of Reno and Washoe County are continuing to seek public feedback on the Truckee River Vision Plan, which aims to improve the 18-mile stretch of the Truckee River Corridor between the Nevada state line and Sparks. The City invites media and the public to attend a community engagement open house on Thursday, July 11, 2024, to learn more about a draft plan for the Truckee.

Community Open House Details:

- When: Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

- Where: Reno City Hall, Council Chamber - 1 E. 1st Street

Open House Schedule:

- 4:30-5:30 PM - Open House

- 5:30-6:30 PM - Presentation from Dig Studio, the project’s consultant

- 6:30-7:30 PM - Q&A

The presentation and Q&A will also be available virtually.

The City began collecting feedback for the Truckee River in December 2023 through early 2024 via a public survey and a vision board. Based on stakeholder and public feedback collected, Dig Studio has developed a draft vision plan to share with the public and gather further input from July 8-28. More information, including an online survey for those who prefer to engage virtually, will become available during the week of July 8, 2024.
