City of Reno Parks and Recreation issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.

Community Workshops

The City of Reno Parks and Recreation Department invites you to attend our virtual community workshop! During this workshop, you and other community members will be asked to provide input on your priorities and preferences for City parks and recreation facilities, services and amenities.

There are two opportunities to attend via zoom:
Tuesday August 31, 12-2 pm - link to register https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_P89xo5GqQFKyRr7MRKg8LA
Wednesday September 1, 6-8 pm link to register https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_m_EbpZ3AQbWFLmaYBNIJ7g

Your input will be used to guide the priorities set forth in the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Service Plan. The Parks and Recreation Department is updating the 2008 Recreation Facilities Plan to create a more robust Service Plan. This new plan will identify current and planned park and recreation facilities, along with a funding strategy for construction and operation of the facilities. The existing 2008 Recreation Facilities Plan is outdated and no longer within the confines of the Parks and Recreation Department FY21 Budget. The PROS Service Plan will be updated to contain current data, modifications to planned improvements, and provisions for operations and maintenance.
