A member of the University of Nevada-Reno’s second cohort of Creating Retention and Engagement for Academically Talented Engineers (CREATE) program scholars says the program is providing a roadmap for his career.
According to a news release shared by the university, Jacob Gosz believes that the National Science Foundation-funded program helps him pursue his engineering endeavors.
“I always liked learning about how the world works around me with physical things that we build to function with a purpose,” Gosz said in the release.
He added that he his a career will have an impact on the health of all humans through proper treatment of the human body via pharmaceutical or lifestyle mediums.
According to Gosz, “My peer mentor has always been able to provide me with insight on classes they have previously taken and my mentor is able to assist me with time management between school and other extracurriculars.”
Gosz added that those looking to follow in his footsteps should find a hobby they excel in.
“To find the best success in college, learn to manage your time properly and be sure to find a hobby or activity you can do outside of school that healthily gives you a break from school,” he added.
