Nevada Wolf Pack Athletics celebrates Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month

Nevada Athletics observes Hispanic/Latinx Heritage month starting September 15 through October 15.

The Wolf Pack is proud to celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors come from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. 

Throughtout the month, Nevada Athletics will highlight Hispanic Latinx athletes sharing what this month means to them.

The video features Nevada women's soccer players senior goalkeeper Kendal Stovall and senior midfielder Luz Arreaga, who both speak about their Latina background. Women's soccer assistant coach, Ivan Zarate, also in the video, speaks on his accomplishments as a Hispanic in this country. 

Nevada women's soccer celebrated their Hispanic Latinx Heritage night this past Thursday on September 22 in their game against Utah State. 

Nevada Women's Volleyball will have a Hispanic/Latinx Heritage night Saturday, October 15 at 1 p.m. against New Mexico at the Virginia Street Gym. Tickets can be purchased on the Nevada Wolf Pack website.
