A University of Nevada, Reno alumna is among Forbes' list of America's Most Successful Self-Made Women.
Chairwoman and owner of aerospace and defense company Sierra Nevada Corporation, Eren recently received the distinction, an accomplishment she has claimed eight years in a row.
“I’m honored to be named alongside such remarkable women across so many industries,” Eren said in a July 7 university press release. “This is a testament that opportunities are endless if you have the courage to work hard and dream beyond your circumstances. I’m driven by the prospect of paying it forward and inspiring the next generation.”
Eren is no stranger to being recognized by Forbes, along with her husband, Faith Ozmen, who also attended the UNR, the release stated. Fatih made the magazine's 50 Over 50 list. The couple was also on the Forbe’s Most Successful Couples list.
Eren notched the highest percentage increase on this year’s list that included CEO of eBay, Meg Whitman, ABC Supply cofounder, Diane Hendricks, and actress Reese Witherspoon. Eren ranked 10th alongside Oprah Winfrey on a list that included women in the e-commerce, agriculture, entertainment, and engineering fields, according to the release.
