Reno police recently shot and injured a man while investigating a domestic disturbance call.
On Friday, Nov. 5, just before 11 p.m., Reno police officers responded to reports of a shot fired inside a home located on the 200 block of East Grove Street during a case of alleged domestic disturbance, KRNV reported.
"Reno police shoot man during domestic disturbance call," Sara Moretti wrote in a Nov. 7 Twitter post.
Officers were able to make contact with a man inside the home after which one of the officers shot the man. The Reno Police Department said the man was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment following the shooting, KRNV reported.
Authorities have not yet released details about the man's identity or what may have caused the shooting.
As part of regional protocol, the Sparks Police Department will take over responsibility for investigating the case.
