Cost of college went up for all students at Carrington College-Reno

Tuition and fees rose 0.4 percent for 2018-19 at Carrington College-Reno, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Nevada students paid $49,930 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $200 more than the $49,730 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 56 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 93 students received grants or scholarships totaling $622,064 and 128 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.4 million.

Including all undergraduates (401), 165 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.2 million, and 262 students took out $2.8 million in federal student loans.
