88 percent of applicants to the University of Nevada-Reno were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Nevada-Reno, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Reno enrolled 21,463 students in fall 2018, including 17,930 in undergraduate and 3,533 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

73 percent of undergraduates are residents of Nevada, and 27 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (56 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (21 percent).

The school admitted 88 percent of the 9,531 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 44 percent enrolled.
