    The City of Reno invites the public to Traner Pool on Friday, June 28, 2024, and Friday, July 12, 2024, for two free pool sessions and popsicle community days. These events are sponsored by Ward 3 Reno City Councilmember Miguel Martinez. Both events will run from 12:00 - 4 p.m.

  • City of Reno offices to close for Juneteenth on June 19

    City of Reno administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in observance of Juneteenth. All City of Reno recreation facilities and indoor pools will also be closed on June 19. Outdoor pools (Idlewild and Traner) will be open with reduced hours.   • City of Reno to host senior speaker event on fraud prevention

    The City of Reno is inviting the senior community to attend an educational guest speaker event dedicated to fraud prevention, scam awareness, identity theft, and other related topics. Part of the Seniors EngAGED programming, the speaker series will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Reno Housing Authority, 1400 Silverada Blvd, Reno. Participation does not require membership in RHA.

    The City of Reno and the Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) have announced a $30 million grant to fund Nevada’s first A+ Advanced Purified Water Facility (APWF), known as the OneWater Nevada APWF at American Flat. The grant, awarded by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), is part of President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law aimed at supporting water reuse projects.
