U.S. Rep. Mark Amodei (R-Nevada) said after a recent visit to the U.S.-Mexico border that under the Biden-Harris administration, "every state has become a border state."
"Just concluded a trip to our southern border to get a sense firsthand of the crisis at our feet," Amodei said in a post on X. "Though Nevada doesn’t touch Mexico, every state has become a border state under the Biden Administration."
"As the flow of fentanyl into the country explodes, officers must be more vigilant that ever as they expose the methods of delivery into the country," he said about his visit with local U.S. Customs and Border Protection office. "One thing was clear: the border wall is working where it is complete. Now more than ever, we need to invest in its finalization."
Amodei wrote a bill, H.R. 8752, the Homeland Security Appropriations Act, which passed the U.S. House on June 26. The legislation would provide funding for and require the construction of a physical barrier along the border, as well as provide funding to target drug trafficking operations.
