Please join this special, public-facing meeting of the Nevada Obesity Collaborative on Feb. 28, 2023. Our featured speakers will be Drs. Alex Ayzengart and Dana Trippi, who will speak on the "Science of Obesity." We'll dispel commonly held myths and misperceptions about the disease of obesity, as well as examine the ways the prevalence of obesity creates downstream impacts on personal and public health, the economy, and exacerbates existing health disparities. There will be plenty of time for questions and responses during this webinar. Bios on our distinguished speakers are forthcoming. All are invited, so please feel free to spread the work about this event to others.

The Nevada Obesity Collaborative, first launched in 2023 and convened by the Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce, is a statewide working group of community members across multiple sectors whose singular goal is to reduce obesity and weight-related co-existing conditions in Nevada leading to improved, equitable health outcomes and overall wellness.
