Nevada is one of the final states to maintain rigid indoor mask mandates in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the moment, there are no plans for this to change in Nevada.

Nevada is still mandating that people wear a mask in indoor public places without any regard for their vaccination status, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

"#Nevada is one of nine states that still require people to wear a mask in indoor public places regardless of vaccination status" Adam Paul Laxalt, a Nevada Senate candidate, former Nevada Attorney General, and former Trump campaign Nevada co-chair, said in a post to his official Twitter account Feb. 7. "This is unacceptable. NO MORE MASK MANDATES FOR NEVADANS.’’

California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, New Mexico, New York, Oregon and Washington are the other states that still mandate masks indoors in this way. Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak has not had any conversations with his health team about putting an end to the indoor mask mandate. Case numbers continue to be bad in Nevada, according to a the Las Vegas Review-Journal, which may be why the mandate stays in place, although numbers have been declining recently.

Many states with similar mandates did away with them in May or June, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
