The University of Nevada, Reno, held a series of sports events over two weeks in honor of homecoming week.
Driven by the Associated Students of the University of Nevada, homecoming aims to increase student participation in campus activities through various sporting events that held at the university over the two-week span, according to Nevada Today.
“Donuts! Photos with Wolfie Jr.! Sounds like homecoming, right? We are so excited for homecoming week and to support the Nevada Wolf Pack! Go Pack! #PackPride #UNRCoEHD," the College of Education and Human Development said in a tweet on Oct. 11.
All of the homecoming events were scheduled to take place in person on campus from Oct. 9-16. Sports events included football, softball and a roller disco. Students could celebrate with tailgating, barbecues and carnival games in between, according to Nevada Today.
“I’m excited to bring back our Nevada homecoming traditions this year especially after almost two years of living through a pandemic,” said ASUN’s Director of Event Programming, Tara Okui, according to Nevada Today. “I’ve loved seeing all of the student engagement we’ve been getting at ASUN events this year and can’t wait to see the turnout we get for Homecoming."
Tickets and event schedules were available online.
