The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office announced on May 8 that deputies responded to North Valleys High School to assist Washoe County School Police following a report of multiple subjects with a weapon.
The response was part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of students, staff, and the community. The incident underscores the cooperation between local law enforcement agencies when responding to potential threats at schools.
According to the statement, deputies arrived at approximately 2:00 p.m. on May 7 and conducted a search of the campus for any potential or active threat.
