University of Nevada, Las Vegas recently issued the following announcement.
Rachell A. Ekroos (Medicine) and colleagues from multiple outside organizations published an article in the Journal of Forensic Nursing titled “Improving the Forensic Documentation of Injuries Through Alternate Light: A Researcher–Practitioner Partnership.” The translation-into-practice project introduced in the article focuses on developing and evaluating an alternate light source (ALS) implementation program to assist forensic clinicians in the skin assessment and documentation of bruises among living adults who have experienced violence. This researcher-practitioner implementation project incorporates clinical practice context and stakeholder impact through a theory-based approach.
