32.8% unemployed in Reno in 2017

Medium names 15

32.8 percent of Reno residents between 16 and 65 years old were unemployed in 2017, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The percentage of unemployed residents was less than the statewide total of 36.1 percent for this demographic group. In 2017 the total Reno population reached 192,342.

Out of 129,311 people who had a job, 262 were employed in the Armed Forces and 129,049 belonged to the civilian labor force.

The total unemployment numbers include residents of all ages who are not working.
