Rep. Mark Amodei, who represents Nevada’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) through a series of posts on his official Twitter account. The tweets address issues related to affordable housing, tax policy, and family support measures in Nevada.

On July 14, 2025, Amodei wrote: “Did you know: The OBBB offers real solutions to Nevada’s housing challenges? By expanding tax credit incentives, it encourages developers to build more affordable housing for low and middle-income families. Here in Nevada, where prices have skyrocketed and supply remains”.

The following day, on July 15, 2025, he posted: “Did you know: The claim that Trump’s tax cuts only benefited the wealthy is a myth? Here’s the truth: After the Trump Tax Cuts, the top 1% paid more in income taxes than ever before. Meanwhile, the bottom 50% paid less than ever before. The One Big Beautiful Bill puts more”.

Continuing his focus on family policies on July 16, 2025, Amodei stated: “Did you know: The One Big Beautiful Bill Act puts working families first? If Congress hadn’t passed it, 84,910 families in #NV02 would have seen their child tax credit cut in half. Instead: Incentives for paid leave and childcare Trump savings accounts for newborns”.

Mark Amodei has represented Nevada’s 2nd congressional district since replacing Dean Heller in 2011. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of both the Nevada Assembly and Senate between 1997 and 2011. Born in Carson City in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Amodei holds degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno (BA) and the University of the Pacific (JD).
