The City of Reno is calling on its residents to participate in shaping the city’s strategic priorities through a series of community drop-in workshops. These sessions, scheduled from July 8 to July 15, aim to gather input on key issues such as fiscal sustainability, public safety, economic opportunities, homelessness, affordable housing, and more.
Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve stated, “We encourage residents to participate in these workshops, whether you’ve been in Reno for years or just moved here. This is a chance to help shape the future of our city together, and every perspective matters.”
Residents will have the opportunity to discuss various topics including economic and community development; infrastructure; climate change; environmental sustainability; arts; parks; historical resources; governance; and organizational effectiveness.
The workshop schedule is as follows:

– Thursday, July 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McKinley Arts and Culture Center
– Saturday, July 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at South Valleys Library
