Nevada Women’s Basketball will face Boise State on Wednesday, February 4, at the Lawlor Events Center in Reno. The game is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be broadcast on Mountain West Network/NSN, with radio coverage available through The Varsity Network and KPLY 630 AM.
This matchup marks Nevada’s second “When I Grow Up” game of the season. In their most recent outing, Nevada lost to San Diego State with a final score of 67-54. Despite the defeat, Nevada outperformed San Diego State in several categories, including outrebounding them 36-32 and scoring more bench points, 25-13. The team also managed 12 second-chance points while preventing the Aztecs from recording any in that category.
The game shifted in the second half when Nevada fell behind by as many as 20 points during the fourth quarter. Maia Rosarion led Nevada with a season-high 14 points and six rebounds. Imbie Jones contributed a season-high eight rebounds, and Izzy Sullivan added 12 points.
Boise State enters the contest following a victory over San José State, winning 96-62 and extending its win streak to seven games. During that match, Boise State scored 39 points in the first quarter alone and maintained shooting percentages of 48 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range for the game. The Broncos collected 48 rebounds compared to San José State’s 31 and forced ten turnovers, converting those into 36 points.
Dani Bayes achieved a double-double for Boise State with 18 points and ten rebounds, while Tatum Thompson led all scorers with 28 points.
The last meeting between Nevada and Boise State took place on New Year’s Eve in Idaho, where Nevada lost by a score of 74-62.
