Nevada Women’s Basketball lost to Colorado State 70-59 in their second regular season matchup, held in Fort Collins. The game remained close throughout the first half, with neither team gaining a lead of more than six points. Nevada led at the end of the first quarter after an 11-0 run and outscored Colorado State 19-16.

The teams exchanged baskets early in the second quarter, but Colorado State managed two key runs—one of seven points and another of six—to edge ahead. Nevada responded with a single 7-0 run but could not sustain momentum.

After halftime, Nevada’s shooting percentage dropped from nearly 45 percent in the first half to just over 34 percent in the second. The third quarter proved decisive as Nevada made only two field goals out of fifteen attempts for an 11.8 percent shooting rate. During this period, Colorado State went on a 15-2 run over five minutes, holding Nevada to just five points for the entire quarter.

Nevada struggled from both three-point range and the free throw line, making only two of fifteen shots from beyond the arc and converting just over half their free throws at 56.3 percent.

Despite trailing by as much as eighteen points, Nevada outscored Colorado State in both the first and fourth quarters—the latter by a margin of 22-17—but could not overcome their deficit.

Maia Rosarion came off the bench to score a season-high sixteen points along with five rebounds. Skylar Durley contributed thirteen points and led her team with seven rebounds.

Following this loss, Nevada (8-18 overall, 4-12 Mountain West) will continue its road trip to play UNLV on Saturday at 2 p.m.
