Nevada Wolf Pack athletics announced on March 23 a busy week ahead, with men’s basketball advancing in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT), and several other teams returning to home venues or traveling for important contests.

The schedule highlights the significance of this period for Nevada’s athletic programs as they seek postseason success and early momentum in their respective seasons. The men’s basketball team will travel to top-seeded Auburn for an NIT quarterfinal matchup Wednesday at 6 p.m. Pacific Time, broadcast on ESPN2. With a win, Nevada would advance to the semifinals in Indianapolis, just two victories away from a postseason title. The team secured its spot after defeating Murray State and Liberty at home last week, with Corey Camper Jr. recording the program’s first triple-double since 2022 during Saturday’s game.

Softball remains on the road Monday against Utah Valley before returning home to host San José State over the weekend following back-to-back Mountain West series wins. Meanwhile, men’s tennis hosts Saint Mary’s Tuesday afternoon at McArthur Tennis Center and resumes conference play Sunday against San Diego State after suffering sweeps at Boise State and Utah State last weekend.

Baseball opens its four-game slate by hosting San Francisco Tuesday before heading north for a three-game Mountain West series at Washington State. Both teams are tied for second place in conference standings, making this series crucial early in the season.

Women’s tennis travels to face Boise State Friday and Utah State Sunday after sweeping Colorado State and defeating Wyoming during their recent homestand. Track and field heads to Los Angeles for UCLA’s Bob Larsen Distance Carnival/Jim Bush Legends meet following three event wins at their season opener in California. Men’s golf continues spring competition at The Goodwin hosted by Stanford University after winning Fresno State’s The Watney tournament earlier this month.

With several teams seeking pivotal victories both at home and away, Nevada athletics faces an important stretch that could set the tone for postseason aspirations across multiple sports.
