Nevada Track and Field recorded several top-five finishes across multiple competitions in the Bay Area, according to an April 4 announcement. The Wolf Pack competed at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, Brutus Hamilton Invitational, and Stanford Invitational.

The results highlight strong performances from both sprinters and field athletes. Podium placements included a runner-up finish for Anne Schuch in the javelin with a throw of 41.19 meters and Hazel Gaspaire’s second place in the high jump after clearing 1.67 meters at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational. The Nevada relay teams also made notable showings, with a fourth-place finish by Harris, Diaz, Chapman, and Holt in the 4x400m (3:58.62) at Brutus Hamilton and sixth place for Parsons, Kalma, Denver, and Galvan (3:41.59) at Stanford.

In individual sprints and hurdles events at Brutus Hamilton, Misa Holland placed fifteenth in the 100m hurdles (14.89), while Leylah Diaz took eighth in the 400m hurdles (1:03.48). Amaya Chapman finished twenty-first in the open 400m (1:00.69), with additional strong efforts from teammates across sprint distances.

Field events were another area of strength for Nevada as Adessa Matthews cleared 3.70 meters to secure fourth place in pole vault while Alyssa Carson finished sixth with an identical mark. In javelin competition Ava Dierolf earned fourth place with a throw of 36.20 meters.

The weekend’s competitions offered opportunities for athletes to test themselves against tough opposition ahead of future meets this season.
