Nevada Track and Field secures nine All-Mountain West honors at indoor championships

Nevada Track and Field received nine All-Mountain West honors after the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships held last week in Reno. The awards are given to the top three finishers in each event.

Seven athletes from Nevada were recognized. Annalies Kalma led with three honors, earning a silver medal in both the 400 meters and the 4×400 meter relay, as well as winning the Mountain West championship in the 200 meters. Johanna Haas, a senior, earned All-Mountain West recognition for her second-place finish in the pentathlon. Sophomore Kaja Maltaric was honored for her silver medal performance in the long jump. Meekness Dogonyaro received an honor for finishing second in the triple jump.

The 4×400 meter relay team—consisting of Halyn Senegal, Kylee Parsons, Malena Galvan, and Annalies Kalma—also secured All-Mountain West honors by taking silver.

Overall, Nevada athletes brought home one gold medal and eight silvers at the meet, with four of those silvers coming from relay events.
