Nevada achieved notable success on the second day of the Credit Union 1 2026 Mountain West Swimming & Diving Championships in Houston, Texas, securing three individual titles.

Diver Bailey Heydra won her eighth career Mountain West medal and third gold by taking first place in the 3-Meter Springboard event for the first time. She had previously earned a silver medal on the 1-Meter Springboard earlier in the week. With these results, Heydra is now a leading contender for Diver of the Meet honors.

Swimmers Scarlett Ferris and Moji Pholjamjumrus both met NCAA qualifying standards while winning their respective conference finals. Ferris claimed her first Mountain West title in the 100 butterfly, setting new records for both the conference and Nevada program with a time of 51.34 seconds. This performance also qualified her for the NCAA Championships. Shortly after, Pholjamjumrus won the Mountain West title in the 400 IM with a time of 4:11.07, another NCAA qualifying standard.

In addition to these victories, Huska Batbayar finished third in the 200 freestyle event, earning a bronze medal after having won gold in that event last year.

Heydra’s win in the 3-Meter Springboard was secured with a strong final dive that earned her a score of 377.00 points. This marks her third career medal in this event following previous silver medals in 2023 and 2025.

During morning preliminaries, Pholjamjumrus advanced to the championship final of the 400-yard IM while Isabelle Gomez qualified for the B-final. In other events, Batbayar reached the championship final of the 200-yard freestyle and Sally Vagg moved on to compete in its C-final.

Ferris advanced to compete for gold in the championship final of the 100-yard butterfly; Caitlyn Wham and Sally Vagg both qualified for its B-final round as well. On diving boards during prelims, Heydra moved into position to contest for gold again while Izzy Wright secured a spot in a B-final.

After two days at this four-day meet, Nevada rose one place to fourth overall on team standings with a total score of 435.5 points.

Competition continues tomorrow at Houston’s Mountain West Championships with preliminary rounds beginning at 8:30 a.m. PT and evening finals scheduled for a start at 4 p.m. PT.
