Nevada will travel to Boise, Idaho, to face Boise State in a Mountain West men’s basketball matchup on Tuesday, February 3. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. at ExtraMile Arena and will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and MW App with Jay Tust and Brian King providing commentary. Radio coverage will be available on 95.5 KNEV in Reno, featuring John Ramey and Nick Fazekas.
The Wolf Pack enters the contest with a 16-6 overall record and an 8-3 mark in conference play. Their most recent game saw them defeat UNLV 89-76 at home before a record crowd of nearly 12,000 fans at Lawlor Events Center. In that win, Corey Camper Jr. scored a career-high 32 points with four rebounds, while Elijah Price added 22 points and 11 rebounds for his own career bests. Vaughn Weems contributed nine points and four rebounds, and Tayshawn Comer recorded eight assists.
Nevada shot efficiently against UNLV—58 percent from the field, 57 percent from three-point range, and 74 percent from the free-throw line. The team forced ten turnovers by UNLV and converted those into nineteen points while only committing seven turnovers themselves.
This meeting marks the second time Nevada faces Boise State this season; they previously won their December matchup 81-66. In that game, Comer led all scorers with twenty-four points while Price contributed eleven points and six rebounds along with defensive efforts including three steals.
Boise State comes into the game after an eighty-six to sixty-nine loss against Grand Canyon University at Global Credit Union Arena. Javan Buchanan led Boise State with fourteen points; Dominic Parolin scored eleven off the bench.
Corey Camper Jr.’s recent performances earned him Old Trapper Mountain West Player of the Week honors after he averaged twenty points over two games—including his thirty-two point effort against UNLV—and posted strong shooting percentages: fifty percent from the field and sixty-three percent from three-point range over those contests.
Nevada’s depth has played a significant role this season as they have outscored opponents in bench production in eleven out of thirteen games where it was tracked.
Freshmen have also contributed: Peyton White has appeared in every game this season averaging over seventeen minutes per contest; Ethan Croley notched a double-double earlier this year; Myles Walker has provided assists, steals, and scoring support off the bench.
Elijah Price continues to rank among conference leaders in rebounding (second overall) as well as blocks per game (first). His nineteen-rebound performance earlier this season is one of Nevada’s top single-game efforts under head coach Steve Alford.
Comer (88 assists) and Camper Jr. (304 total points) remain key contributors offensively for Nevada; both reached individual milestones during recent games.
Statistically, Nevada leads its conference in free throws made per game (19.6) as well as attempts (25.8), ranks third in blocks per game (4.1), twelfth nationally—and second within their conference—in three-point percentage at just under forty percent (NCAA stats).
The team also stands eleventh nationally for fewest turnovers per game—averaging just over nine through twenty-two contests—which reflects their focus on ball security (NCAA stats).
After facing Boise State on Tuesday night, Nevada will return home to host Fresno State on Saturday evening at Lawlor Events Center.
