Nevada will begin its 2026 college baseball season with a three-game series at Ole Miss from February 13 to 15. The games will be held at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field in Oxford, Mississippi. The opening game is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. PT, while the Saturday and Sunday games are set for 11:30 a.m. PT.

All three games will be available for streaming on SEC Network+, accessible via ESPN.com and the ESPN app for those with a TV provider account. Nevada fans can also listen to the audio broadcast through The Varsity Network app, with Wolf Pack Baseball alumnus Zak Basch providing commentary.

Ole Miss enters the season after finishing the previous year with a record of 43-21 and securing the No. 10 overall seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The Rebels advanced to the title game of the Oxford Regional before being eliminated by Murray State. Their pitching staff includes Hunter Elliott, who posted a 10-3 record with a 2.94 ERA and recorded 102 strikeouts over 85.2 innings last season. Cade Townsend joins the weekend rotation after appearing in 15 games last year, starting eight and finishing with a 1-0 record and a 6.35 ERA.

Offensively, Will Furniss returns as Ole Miss’s leading hitter from last season, having hit .305 with 62 hits, including 12 home runs and driving in 47 runs. Judd Utermark led the team in home runs last year with 22 and had 69 RBIs.

This series marks Nevada’s first visit to an SEC school for baseball competition. Previously, Nevada has played against SEC teams only three times in its history—all against Alabama—at tournaments in California and Texas.

The upcoming season also signals a new chapter for Nevada baseball as Jordan Getzelman begins his tenure as head coach following his promotion on December 1, 2025. He succeeds Jake McKinley, who left to join the Seattle Mariners organization as Major League Field Coordinator. Getzelman leads a team that returns all five of its All-Mountain West selections from last year, including third baseman Sean Yamaguchi, who was named both Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-America.
