Representative Mark Amodei, who has been serving Nevada’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2011, recently shared updates through a series of tweets. Amodei replaced Dean Heller and has had a long-standing political career including previous roles in the Nevada Assembly and Senate.

On June 9, 2025, he tweeted about his role as Co-Chair of the Public Broadcasting Caucus alongside Representative Dan Goldman. They jointly urged the Trump Administration to reconsider proposed funding rescissions for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting “As Co-Chairs of the Public Broadcasting Caucus, I joined @RepDanGoldman in urging the Trump Administration to reconsider its proposed rescissions in funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.”.

Rep. Mark Amodei was born in Carson City, Nevada in 1958 and continues to reside there. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BA in 1980 and earned a JD from the University of the Pacific in 1983.
