Nevada Track and Field competed at the Stanford Invitational and Mike Fanelli Track Classic, with Annalies Kalma winning both the 200-meter and 400-meter races, according to an April 3 report.
Kalma’s performance was a highlight for the Wolf Pack, as she took first place in the 400 meters with a time of 52.73 seconds before returning to win the 200 meters in 23.74 seconds. These victories contributed significantly to Nevada’s showing at the meet.
Other notable performances included Kylee Parsons finishing twelfth in the 400 meters with a time of 55.89 seconds, while Malena Galvan placed sixteenth at 56.34 seconds. In sprint events, Vivian Groppe finished nineteenth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.17 seconds and set a personal best in the 200 meters by placing seventeenth in 24.52 seconds. Parsons also achieved a personal best in the same event, running it in 24.58 seconds for twenty-first place.
In hurdles, Misa Holland represented Nevada by finishing twentieth in the women’s hundred-meter hurdles with a time of 14.98 seconds.
Distance runners from Nevada also participated strongly: Aubrey Thompson completed her race eighty-seventh overall in the five-thousand meter run (17:46.25), while Marina Renna followed at one hundred twenty-third (18:26.10). Natalie Roberts led Nevada’s effort in the three-thousand meter steeplechase by finishing thirteenth (10:55.64), with Paulina Hultberg coming forty-fourth (11:37.62).
The team is scheduled to return tomorrow for further competition at both Cal Brutus Hamilton as well as continuing events at Stanford Invitational and Mike Fanelli Track Classic.
