Four members of the Nevada Swimming and Diving team were named to the College Sports Communicator (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Apr. 8.

The recognition highlights student-athletes who excel both in their sport and in academics. The award is considered significant as it honors individuals who balance rigorous athletic schedules with strong academic performance.

Swimmers Scarlett Ferris, Huska Batbayar, Sara Mihalic, and diver Bailey Heydra received this honor for the Wolf Pack. This is Heydra’s third consecutive year being selected for the Academic All-District Team. Ferris was also chosen as a CSC Academic All-America finalist and will move forward to the national ballot for further consideration.

The CSC program recognizes top student-athletes nationwide based on combined achievements in competition and classroom performance. It organizes awards by division, including NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA.

To qualify for selection, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. They must also be strong competitors during the season by participating in at least four competitions or placing in the top eight at a conference meet.

The announcement underscores ongoing efforts to support excellence among collegiate athletes both academically and athletically.
