City of Reno issued the following announcement on September 2.

The Reno Arts & Culture Commission (RACC) has shifted their Arts & Culture Grants program to a calendar year. Grant applications are available via Submittable from August 18 – October 15, 2021. The new grants cycle will fund projects happening between January 1 to December 31, 2022. Deadline to apply: 11:59 pm on Friday, October 15, 2021.

RACC Arts & Culture Grants challenge arts and culture nonprofits to serve Reno’s traditionally under-invested populations and youth programming and to seek innovative partnerships. The grant applications ask organizations to demonstrate social impact beyond a traditional audience experience as well as a plan to reach diverse and under-served populations.
Eligibility
Nonprofit organizations or public institutions under chapter 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code or qualified educational institutions. Grants will not be awarded to individuals. Locations for eligibility require that the project take place in the City of Reno.
There are two categories of grants open for nonprofits to apply to, Event Grants and Project Grants. Please see our grants page for more information.
Grants Workshop
City of Reno Arts & Culture staff will be hosting a grants workshop on Thursday, September 9 at 10:00 am. This workshop will be hosted via Zoom and recorded and shared for anyone who is not able to attend.
The workshop is informational and will cover eligibility requirements, what we fund and don’t fund, grant review guidelines, how to fill out an application, final reporting requirements if you are awarded a grant, and Q&A. The workshop is optional.
